what do vets and soldiers have to do with these?

these were signed for the american citizen regardless of military status

freedom of speech doesnt just aply to military personel

right to bear arms applies to all americans not just soldiers and vets

prohibited illegal search and seizure doesnt just apply to military

right to a speedy trial.......again doesnt apply to vets and soldiers only

how about the 13th amendment.......abolished slavery......clearly that also only applies to those in the military

the US constitution was written to provide a framework for our system of govt set up different branches, courts, executive power, etc

the military isnt currently fighting to defend our constitution or basic rights as americans.......they are fighting a group of lunatics who want to kill us all

not trying to knock the military or vets because i respect them all and appreciate what they have done in their service of the country but my point is that it seems in certain cases lately that these have been completely disregarded and basically ignored

The Declaration is at the very heart of all an American soldier stands for: the defense of the liberties proclaimed. Remember, the American soldier is just an average citizen who has answered the call to defend the liberty we enjoy. So vets and soldiers have everything to do with it!

considering i just turned 30 and not 250........i dont think so

they werent veterans......they were pioneers

there was no formal military at that time.....so they werent actually "veterans" they were british rebels

the constitution established a formal military.........so again.....this is about becoming an independent nation and not about the military

american soliders arent defending your right of free speech, your right to own a gun or your right to a speedy trial

they arent defending your right to assemble, they arent fighting slavery, there is no war against illegal search and seizure currently, the military isnt fighting cruel and unusual punishment.......see my point yet?
